Was watching "Drive Angry" tonight and the part that Amber Heard plays is kinda the way that I imagined one of the girls in the book. Looking most like Cali, but a possible Dawn

The Course on the Coast

 

So found these plans for an indy car race track that has either been built or is going to be built. But i added my own flavor to it to mark out the track that Sylus and everyone will be racing on. Dark blue is the ocean, light blue is a river, black is a bridge, gray are the cliffs, orange is sand (beach), white is the roads, red in the right side is the finish line (not where the flag is), and the purple marks the end of the area where the trophies are given and everything else happens. Most people chill on the sand getting ready for the race. This track is going to be a road course and it is the actual town roads that aren't used much so every saturday night teenagers and young adults race out there.

Just finished "The Truth About Forever." Wow they ending was so amazing, the main character going through soo many issues and trying to find herself all at the same time. When the answer was in her room the whole time. Wow Sarah Dessen sure knows how to want me to keep reading. On to "This Lullaby." :D can't wait

Fast Cars

Ok so I just got a good chunk out of the beginning of my teen novel that I'm working on. The main aspect of it is street racing. If anyone could throw out some names of cars that they would associate with being fast and used for racing, or that have been in racing movies. It would be a big help. I have some now but could use more in my arsenal.

Character Ideas

Main Character: Sylus- 16 6ft tall slim healthy muscular, smart, intelligent. Fry cook at a local diner. Popular smooth not afraid to speak his mind determined. drives a 92 red chevy camaro.

Best Friend: Tyler- 16 5'5 small skinny roughneck redneck hill billy farm hand at family's farm. different and not popular. close friends with sylus since 1st grade. drives an orange H3T. truck makes up for his lack of body.

Supporting Male: Cable- 18 6'5 jacked big and rough "bad-ass" black hair keeps to himself. "King of the Racing Coast" kind and sweet. works at a local garage. cable is his nickname but no one knows his real name. been racing for 2 and a half years. drives a green and black 2013 boss 302 ford mustang.

Enemy: Jeff Chambers- 16 5'10 smug rich kid brat. gets everything from his fathers money. dad is a banker well dressed. drives a 2002 mazda rx-7 with body kit light blue and black

Main Female: Dawn- 16 5'8 brunette. in a racing family. somewhat of a tom boy but also a lady. isn't impressed by sylus and doesn't see him as a popular kid or that big of a thing. gets a waitressing job at the same diner. one of the better racers in the family. medium build but feminine figure.

Sister: Cali- 18 5'11 blonde oldest of the sisters close to cable but just as "friends" very motherly to her sisters. a fighter will stick up for herself hot headed.

Sisters: Michele & Caroline- 14 going o 15 5'6 1/2  the sassy twins. criticize people very easily. always looking for flaws in character, appearance and driving. identical brunette with blonde highlights. tiny stick figures.

Sisters all drive a 2006 dodge charger str8 thats black and pink. but they race a '70 dodge challenger purple

let me know what you think and give me any suggestions as to what to change or add

relationship in story

So reading "The Truth About Forever" by Sarah Dessen. It has such a great romance between the main character and a close friend of hers who she just met. Starting to think of ways to go about the relationship in my novel. But first need to sit down and take a crack at the female characters and their development
